This was a special shoot for me. I taught with Ryder's mom last year and we were pregnant at the same time. When she was 25 weeks pregnant, she went into preterm labor and delivered a teeny tiny 1.5 pound Ryder. Being pregnant at the time, I was just heartbroken for this fellow mom who was going through something so difficult. And here we are, a year later, and little Ryder is just as perfect as perfect can be. I simply felt privileged to be able to photograph this family's dreams fulfilled.
